That’s a good question, as the alert system is a key feature in the solution. I didn't really talk about this point.
If everything is OK, temperature readings, or whatever parameter you are monitoring, are sent to the receiver at regular intervals. The default is 4 hours, but that can be changed.
If a reading goes outside the expected range, the Cobalt 2 actually transmits the information right away, regardless of the programmed interval. We call this feature “Spontaneous Alarm Emission”.
